Vereniging Klassieke Scherpe Jachten (VKSJ)
Dit is de herkomst van de Dutch Classic Yacht Regatta, een vereniging die zich in Nederland inzet voor het behoud van en het (wedstrijd)zeilen met het klassieke scherpe jacht.

The Dutch Association for Classic Sharp Yachts. This association is the origin of the Dutch Classic Yacht Regatta. It promotes the restoration of and racing with classic sharp yachts. Sharp yachts are distinct from the round and flat bottomed craft which are the majority of the Dutch classic fleet.

Federatie Oud Nederlandse Vaartuigen
Dit is de overkoepelende organisatie van behoudsverenigingen voor traditionele schepen. De VKSJ heeft zich ook hierbij aangesloten.

The federation of old Dutch vessels acts on behalf of all associations involved in the conservation of traditional vessels

Old Gaffers Association (OGA)
Van oorsprong een vereniging die zich richt op de promotie van het gaffel getuigde schip. Naar de aard van de leden en de schepen is er echter een grote belangstelling voor traditionele schepen. Op de evenementen van de OGA zijn veelal torengetuigde klassieke jachten ook welkom.

Although primarily aimed at the promotion of the gaff rig the OGA has a keen interest in all classic yachts and has been strongly involved with the Dutch Classic Yacht Regatta from the start.

East Coast Classics
Dit is de website van de East Coast afdeling van de OGA, met een overzicht van de evenementen aan de oostkust van Engeland, wedstrijdresultaten en nieuwtjes.

Old Gaffers Nederland

Britisch Classic Yacht Club (BCYC)
De britse vereniging die zich richt op de promotie en de belangenbehartiging van het klassieke zeiljacht. Vooralsnog richt zij zich alleen op jachten groter dan 8 m over dek.

The British Classic Yacht Club was formed to bring together owners and enthusiasts and promote the ownership and enjoyment of Classic Yachts throughout the UK and across the world. The minimum size of yacht admissible is 8 metres length on deck.

Freundeskreis Klassische Yachten
Dit is de duitse versie van de VKSJ en BCYC. Een actieve vereniging met een aantal goed bezochte evenementen en een eigen register van klassieke jachten op het internet.

The “Friends of the Classic Yacht” is the German counterpart to the VKSJ and the BCYC. A very active association with its own events and a full register of classic yachts available through the internet.

Cub van Sneekermeers
Dit is een vereniging die zorgt voor de belangenbehartiging, informatievoorziening en een ontmoetingsplaats voor eigenaren van Sneekermeers en vergelijkbare schepen (IJsselmeerkruisers, Beulakkermeerkruisers, 24m²-kruisers etc.)

The association for owners of the Sneekermeer-type classic yacht. These are all wooden sailing yachts designed for the shallow Dutch lakes.

Scheepswerf ‘De Delft’
In Rotterdam wordt nu op Scheepswerf ‘De Delft’ dit prachtige 18e eeuwse schip herbouwd. Bij ieder bezoek aan de werf ziet u het schip groeien tot haar imposante lengte van 63 meter. Naast een toeristische attractie is de herbouw van ‘De Delft’ tegelijkertijd een werkervaringsproject. Onder leiding van leermeesters werken de leerlingen aan de bouw van het schip. Maar ook zo’n 200 enthousiaste vrijwilligers hebben een waardevolle hobby gevonden in dit project.

Follow the construction of the 18th century ship of the line 'De Delft' from close by. A ship fitting the history and ambiance of Historic Delfshaven. With each visit to the shipyard you will see the ship grow to her final glorious overall length of 63 meters. 'De Delft' will become one of the largest ship replica's in the world! Next to a tourist attraction, the re-building of 'De Delft' is set up as a work-experience project at the same time. Students work at the ship under the guidance of skilled instructors. And not only that: about 200 enthusiastic volunteers find a meaningful hobby in this project.

Vakbeurs Klassieke Schepen
De ontmoetingsplaats voor alles wat met het varen en onderhouden van klassieke schepen te maken heeft. Ieder najaar wordt er een echte beurs georganiseerd, de eerste jaren in Spakenburg, Lelystad en Enkhuizen, tegenwoordig in Medemblik.

A meeting ground for all interested in sailing and maintaining classic ships (prvided you understand a little of the dutch language). In autumn a real Classic Boat Show is organised. The first editions of the Classic Boat Show were at Spakeburg, Lelystad and Enkhuizen. Nowadays the new regatta centre at Medemblik is host to this event.

Rexwinkel Jachtbouw
De werf is gespecialiseerd in bouw en verbouw van klassieke houten jachten. Voor alles wat daarmee te maken heeft, kunt u bij hen terecht. Ze zijn bekend van de restauratie van de ‘Marine’ de volksboot van de redactie van de Waterkampioen. Daarnaast zeilt eigenaar-directeur Benno Rexwinkel in de Classic Yacht Regatta met zijn eigen Summerwind (uiteraard van hout)

This yard specilizes in building and restoring classic wooden yachts. They are able to take on all sorts of projects related to wooden yachts. In the Netherlands the yard is well known for their restoration/rebuild of the Marina, a wooden folkboat, owned and sailed by the editorial crew of the yachting magazine ‘de Waterkampioen’. Owner-director Benno Rexwinkel will sail his own (wooden) Summerwind at the Classic Yacht Regatta.

Houtwerf Eursa
Een werf gericht op de restauratie van klassieke jachten en de levering van materialen en benodigdheden. Bovendien zeilend deelnemer met het jacht Norna IV, in 1935 geboud voor koning Olav van Noorwegen.

A dutch yard specialized in restoring old yachts and supplier of materials and equipment. Also participant of the DCYR with the yacht Norna IV, build in 1935 for king Olav of Norway.

Maritime Life and Tradition
Een magazine, opgericht door samenwerking tussen Wooden Boat (USA) en Chasse-Marée (Frankrijk), dat zich richt op de traditionele scheepvaart in het algemeen.

The magazine created by Wooden Boat (USA) and Chasse-Marée (France) dealing with traditional maritime affairs in general.

Royal Charles for Charter
De Royal Charles is beschikbaar voor het varen van dagtochten met bemanning. Aan boord is plaats voor maximaal 6 personen. U kunt een dagje of een dagdeel zeilen geheel naar eigen wensen inrichten. Desgewenst kan aan boord catering verzorgd worden. Tijdens de Shipmate Classic Yacht Regatta kan er vanaf de Royal Charles genoten worden van dit evenement. U kunt zich inschrijven voor een of meerdere dagdelen. U maakt de wedstrijden van dichtbij mee en krijgt gevoel met het varen op een klassiek schip!

Royal Charles and skipper are available for day charters. Six guests can be accomodated for a day or half a day, with or without catering. The Shipmate Classci Yacht Regatta will be visited by Royal Charles. Guests can board at Hellevoetsluis and view the races from up close as well as enjoy the special exprerience of sailing a classic.
