Na een heel jaar pauze is de voorbereiding voor de Shipmate Classic Yacht Regatta 2007 gestart. In 2007 wordt de 10e editie van dit evenement gehouden. De 10e Shipmate Classic Yacht Regatta valt bovendien samen met het 25-jarig bestaan van de VKSJ. |
After a full year’s rest preparations on the Shipmate Classic Yacht Regatta 2007 have started. The year 2007 will see both the 10th Shipmate Classic Yacht Regatta and the 25th anniversary of the VKSJ (the Dutch Classic “Sharp” Yacht Association). |

To avoid confusion the finish of the Classic Passage Race has been moved from the OR12 buoy to the R12 buoy. Also the way-points have been updated. |

In samenwerking met de nederlandse tak van de OGA wordt op zaterdag 30 juli de eerste Continental Gaffer Race gevaren. Het is ook mogelijk om alleen voor de Gaffer Race op zaterdag in te schrijven, zonder verdere deelname aan de Shipmate Classic Yacht Regatta. (zie : Old Gaffers Race in het 2005 programma). |
In cooperation with the Dutch OGA the first annual Continental Gaffers Race will be sailed from Hellevoetsluis on Saturday,July 30. It is possible to participate in the Old Gaffers Race without taking part in the program of the Shipmate Classic Yacht Regatte (check : Old Gaffers Race at the 2005 program). |

Vanwege noodzakelijke onderhoud aan het schip van webmaster en DCYR bestuur heeft het werk aan de website stilgelegen. De slechte plank en het roerbeslag zijn vervangen zijn. Het dek is gerubberd en Lillibullero kan weer te water, klaar voor de SCYR 2005. Nu gaat ook het programma van de SCYR 2005 verder ingevuld worden. |
Due to the winter maintenance on the webmasters boat progress on the website had come to a stand still. The rotting plank has been replaced and so have the rudder bearings. Also the deck has been recaulked and soon Lillibullero will float again, all ready for the SCYR 2005. So next the regatta program will be completed. |

The Shipmate Classic Yacht Regatta was present at the Classic Boats and Ships exhibition in the Dutch town of Medemblik. We had plenty of interest for the information leaflets and application forms. |

De stichting Dutch Classic Yacht Regatta en de firma Shipmate Vlaggen tekenen een sponsorcontract. Hierdoor is het voortbestaan van de DCYR voor een aantal jaren gegarandeerd en kan de uitvoering van het evenement nog verder verbeterd worden. Het twee-jaarlijks evenement zal vanaf nu bekend staan onder de naam: |
The Dutch Classic Yacht Regatta foundation and the firm of Shipmate Vlaggen (manufacturer of flags) sign a sponsor contract. This ensures the DCYR’s existence for a number of years and enables a further improvement of the event. From now on the biannual event will be known as: |
